Our Design and Experience team is passionate about creating beautiful, meaningful, and valuable experiences that make our users’ lives easier. Our team of designers, content strategists, and researchers are all committed to fostering each other's growth, partnering with the product and engineering organizations to deliver top-notch experiences, and taking part in Buildium's great culture. As a Senior UX Manager, you will provide exceptional support and design feedback to a team of designers, researchers, and content designers. By fostering career growth and skill development on the team, working collaboratively with cross-functional groups, and keeping the customer at the forefront of the design process, you'll help ensure that we continue to deliver consumer-grade experiences to our target users. This position will report to the Director of User Experience and Design.


  • Provide feedback and support to a team of highly skilled and collaborative designers, researchers, and content designers.
  • Support direct reports in setting and accomplishing annual goals.
  • Work collaboratively with design, product, engineering, and other cross-functional leadership.
  • Help to strategize project priority and coordinate project staffing.
  • Enable the transformation of ideas, opportunities, research, and creative vision into desirable outcomes for users. 
  • Responsible for meaningful presentation of information across functional groups. 
  • Responsible for supporting existing processes (onboarding, design system usage, UX strategy setting, etc.) and the creation of new processes. 
  • Champion Cornerstone, our Design System. Ensure documentation is completed and that the system is consistently leveraged. 
  • Comfortable and confident articulating the value of UX.
  • Design and lead design thinking workshops for various teams. 
  • Contribute to an engaging and fulfilling team culture!


  • 10+ years of product design experience including agile methodologies, strong problem definition skills, and strong problem solving skills.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing a UX team.
  • A portfolio demonstrating individual contributor work as well as any case studies that may showcase your approach to management.
  • Experience with design thinking frameworks, as well as both generative and evaluative UX research.
  • Relentless attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate flawlessly with partner disciplines including Research, Product, Engineering
  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioral science discipline, or equivalent experience.



  • Previous knowledge of property management or experience as a renter or landlord is a plus!
