ABOUT THE TEAM

Buildium is looking for smart, driven, enthusiastic senior-level software engineers to join our team. Our core product is an all-in-one property management platform designed for real estate professionals to take control of their business by streamlining their accounting, maintenance, communication, and leasing processes in the cloud.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a front-end software engineer, you will be working within a scrum team consisting of a product owner, QA and engineers. You will be working with the latest technologies and helping to drive the direction for new features and products. You will work with stakeholders to help define the user workflows and help the UX team to develop UI standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in two-week sprints delivering high quality web applications with unit tests.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers on the design and implementation of RESTful APIs.
  • Work with the product managers to understand the future business direction with the goal of architecting the platform optimally.
  • Work with the technical leads and other stakeholders to develop project plans and participate in resource planning.
  • Participate in our engineering guilds, focus groups, and tech talks to contribute to the research and implementation of new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.
  • Create reusable UI components and contribute to department-wide front-end best practices.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 5+ years of experience in developing customer facing websites.
  • Hands-on expert level experience with a web application framework or library, preferably Angular.
  • Hands-on experience consuming REST web services and APIs.
  • Experience with modern tools such as NPM, ESLint, Webpack.
  • Experience with Javascript unit testing frameworks (Karma/Jasmine).
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git and common branch/merging workflows.
  • Experience with UI development, responsive design, and accessibility standards
  • Experience with a CSS preprocessor such as Sass or LESS.
  • Knowledge of ES6 standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with scrum/agile task tracking.
