ABOUT THE TEAM

Realpage is looking for a VP of Affordable Market to our fast growing company! You will be responsible for growing business across RealPage all products in the Affordable market and influence marketing and sales strategy as well as product roadmaps that support the requirements of the Affordable customer base. As the Vice President, Affordable Market, you will lead the strategy to grow RealPage business with multifamily customers in the Affordable housing market segment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This leader directs solution strategies to grow revenue and market share and retain customers in the Affordable market segment in support of RealPage’s strategic objectives.  The role requires industry segment knowledge and expertise to identify segment trends, react to market changes, and build relationships with important customers, influential industry groups, and ecosystems partners in the segment.  Critical to success is working closely with internal stakeholders, including leadership of lines of business, to evaluate and identify RealPage and market-specific business needs, develop the business case and operating model for new revenue generating opportunities and customer retention, spearhead launch and implementation of new products, and manage the go-to-market and sales/marketing initiatives needed to achieve growth and retention targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will be doing:

  • Represents RealPage within the affordable market segment to build visibility and credibility for our solutions with target customers and their key decision makers, influencers and users.
  • Represent RP externally through participation in industry events, speaking engagement, and market-specific campagin messaging.
  • Expertise in understanding the unique needs of affordable customers in and represent the voice of customer as an advocate internally to influence priorities and develop a strong roadmap across RP products to support the growth objectives.
  • Collaborates with product teams, sales teams, and customers to drive growth and market share across RealPage portfolio in the Affordable market segment.
  • Champions the business case development and approval, working across departments to determine value proposition, strategic fit, and concept design, as well as GTM and product marketing program development and financial analysis.
  • Keeps up-to-date on the latest issues and trends in the multifamily industry through networking, professional memberships, and events. Synthesizes trends and determines application and integration into department objectives.
  • Directs ongoing analysis of market trends to inform RealPage’s new market strategy.
  • Collaborates with Marketing in overseeing marketing research activities to produce marketing insights that inform RealPage’s market strategy.
  • Identifies and understands business needs and new product opportunities; acts as a subject matter expert for new product strategies within the target market segments.
  • Works with leadership and internal stakeholders to prioritize all new segmented product opportunities.
  • Drives the development of operating models and business cases to support potential new products, partnerships or investments, in close collaboration with RealPage’s operational and support areas.
  • Oversees and directs the creation and delivery of executive presentations on growth initiatives, go-to-market launches, or product development strategies recommended to solve customers problems and/or outcomes in support of segment growth objectives.
  • Participates in enterprise-wide short/long-range strategic planning by providing or overseeing analyses on new product development opportunities to support growth objectives.
  • Demonstrates department’s commitment to the RealPage promise through prompt response to all internal and external customers. Represents the department’s credibility, capabilities and RealPage’s mission effectively to internal and external customers.
  • Sales Enablement POC – review/influece collateral and positioning to ensure it is effective for the affordable market segment. 
  • Establish and provide the pricing recommendations for affordable-specific solution bundles.
  • Management, planning, and execution of the annual RealPage events to support the growth objectives for the affordable market.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

What we think it takes to get the job:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the affordable housing market
  • Experience with B2C and/or B2B solution sales, marketing, or support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related degree
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills.  Confident, polished public-speaker, comfortable presenting to executive-level leaders, customers, and in virtual or in-person industry events
  • Strong at building relationships with customers, industry leaders, and internal stakeholders
  • Astute at identifying broad market themes in the affordable market and succinctly and persuasively translating complex ideas 
  • Results-oriented leader who is able to set clear priorities and goals and coach and influence cross-functional teams to achieve results
  • Good understanding of the affordable housing buyer personna and affordable housing owners and property managers;  Ability to translate that knowledge to best support sales teams and equip them for success in the target market.
  • You set an example with ability to adapt to changing priorities, new responsibilies or new projects quickly. 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Affordable multifamily housing and industry experience 
  • Knowledge of key regulatory, institutional or industry groups that influence the affordable housing market
  • Existing network within the affordable multifamily housing industry is a benefit
