ABOUT THE TEAM

The Strategic Business Advisory team is part of RealPage's Customer Success organization. The team is focused on driving adoption of RealPage solutions and helping customers achieve their business objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Strategic Business Advisor will report to the Director of Customer Success, Advisory Services.

The Strategic Business Advisor II works closely with all levels of RealPage customer personnel to understand current operations and recommend strategies to improve adoption of the RealPage platform and increase multifamily asset yield. The Strategic Business Advisor II utilizes RealPage’s proprietary industry benchmarking STARS platform to understand customer goals and strategies, demonstrate where customers have performance improvement opportunities, and then advise customers on how to achieve those goals and strategies.  In addition, Strategic Business Advisors perform in depth analysis of property operations, provide written analysis of property-level improvement opportunities, and deliver recommendations to increase revenue, decrease costs, mitigate risk and optimize operational performance.  Strategic Business Advisors then work with strategic customers to implement recommendations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with customer executive level management, including with some of RealPage’s most strategic customers
  • Act as business advisor to customer using the RealPage platform to meet specific business objects
  • Review data in data analytics platform to cultivate insights into portfolio and site performance, then analyze information to present customer business reviews to customers to improve performance and increase asset value
  • Meet with Executive Sponsor, Customer Success Manager, Sales, and other internal staff to prepare for reviews and then to follow-up on key insights and findings to ensure action is taken on identified opportunities
  • Act as section/project lead when working with corporate, regional, and site contacts to perform discovery, determine opportunities and recommendations for Asset Optimization Reviews and deliver final reports to key stakeholders
  • Leverage in depth knowledge in marketing & leasing, revenue & asset management, property operations, resident services, finance & accounting, or spend management to write multiple report sections to ensure property management performance
  • Create and deliver customized professional services statements of work
  • Develop and manage project plans for all phases of the Asset Optimization Review project lifecycle
  • Leverage customer feedback with internal departments to provide decision support for business improvement initiatives
  • Work with customers identified as being at-risk, helping them to overcome challenges with their utilization of RealPage solutions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 7 years multi-family real estate experience, including client-side experience at the corporate or regional level
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Demonstrated data analytics experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-up capabilities
  • Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally with customers, to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, executives, and other
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Experience presenting to executives

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 5 years of experience with RealPage products and services
  • Experience in manipulating and creating reports to analyze business performance and outcomes
  • Strong and consistent leadership skills
  • Experience in project management
