WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager. Primary responsibility is to support the general ledger accounting team by performing project and cost accountant duties including but not limited to construction revenue recognition, project cost tracking, inventory accounting, and data entry into Epicor and Quickbooks databases. We are looking for a highly detailed and organized individual who has the ability to make process improvements and maintain accurate financial reports.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules for installation projects
  • Track projects costs and ensure that matching principle is applied by review of purchase orders, invoices, and data provided by operations
  • Communicate and coordinate with operations team and project managers in order to have full understanding of all projects in-flight
  • Interpret and understand contract terms to recognize revenue, bill customers, and create schedules
  • Perform advanced accounts analysis and reconciliation of all assigned accounts
  • Monthly accruals for estimated labor and material costs
  • Maintain detailed inventory tracking, and release materials to cost in accordance with percentage of completion of projects
  • Assist in other various general ledger accounting duties

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in General Accounting functions
  • College degree in Accounting, Masters preferred
  • Knowledge of basic financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced understanding of Excel spreadsheets (pivot tables, lookups, conditional statements) & database applications
  • Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Must be comfortable in a constantly changing environment

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • CPA Preferred
  • System Knowledge and Experience – Epicor, Quickbooks, and/or Salesforce, highly preferred
