WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

The project manager has overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.  The Project Manager will manage a combination of enterprise projects spanning multiple functional areas and smaller projects of varying scope and impact. The project manager is viewed as a critical strategic resource in the ClickPay and RealPage organizations.  The project manager will act as a liaison across the organization with a sharp focus on representing ClickPay stakeholder interests within the larger context of the RealPage organization.  The project manager takes a leading interest in mentoring more junior members of the project management team.  The person in this role is viewed as a leader, driving change that spans the project management and operational areas within ClickPay and RealPage within and beyond the context of their projects.  They are always seeking ways to improve current processes by employing critical thinking, strategic influencing and business partnering.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct enterprise organizational projects impacting multiple business units
  • Partner with the RealPage PMO and project managers in the implementation of RealPage enterprise initiatives
  • Represents stakeholder interests
  • Takes the lead in scalability, interoperability and portability analysis within the ClickPay and RealPage organizations 
  • Create project documentation including project charter, business requirements, business case, functional specifications and technical specifications, project plans
  • Assist and at times drive the creation of a formal business case as needed including cost benefit analysis
  • Estimates resource consumption, time and cost. Manages actuals, refines plan accordingly
  • Manage budget plan vs. actual, including monthly accruals, internal and external cost
  • Manage vendor engagements.  Drive vetting process, manage RFI, RFP, QBR.  Assist in managing overall relationship in partnership with the business
  • Creates project scope, project plans, risk registers and mitigation plans, assist in the creation of QA use cases
  • Mentor junior team members; provide opportunities for professional growth and personal satisfaction
  • Acts as a liaison across all functional business areas and external partners 
  • Ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions, resolve conflict, build consensus within project team, cross-functionally and among key stakeholders
  • Interface with external customers as required, holding them accountable for cost, agreed scope and functionality, product stability and availability
  • Manage multiple initiatives of varying size and scope.  Manage plan relative to scope, timeline, resource management
  • Manage change within initiatives. Quantify impact, ensure stakeholders agree to impact and risk
  • Engage in stakeholder management.  Develop status reports with the appropriate level of detail, including identifying risks and developing mitigation plans
  • Be an agent for change within the PMO and across the operation and business
  • Direct the efforts of other resources as needed, within the PMO, IT, Operations, the business and vendor-related
  • Motivate team members and contractors, influence them to take positive action and accountability for their work
  • Is curious, always seeking a path to improvement

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated competency in managing multiple, large scale projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Professional), MS Project, MS Visio
  • Intermediate knowledge of technology, software and systems integrations 
  • Advanced Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Bachelor's detree or equivalent business experience required
