To continue building on our success in the real estate space G5 is expanding its data science team to develop machine learning and AI applications to make our products more efficient and ensure our customers get optimal returns on their marketing investments. The Data Scientist will have access to widen the breadth of data generated by our current platforms as well as new data sources we are implementing this year. 

This role is a part of the G5 Advanced Analytics Group in the Engineering team. The data scientist will work closely with our data engineering and application development teams to deploy these solutions into G5’s customer and employee applications. 

• Be a part of a cross functional product development team and drive the product roadmap with the responsibility of statistical learning algorithms, modeling, and productization. 
• Leverage research data such as competitive intelligence, market insights, business/product performance data to support strategic decision making 
• Deep understanding of a wide variety of ML techniques and algorithms: Statistical NLP, Scalable Time Series Modeling, supervised regression and classification-based models (GBM, Neural Networks, etc.), and unsupervised learners. 
• Develop end-to-end machine learning solutions using GCP. 
• Develop models that provide explainability of the recommendations and results, such as Generalized Random Forest or other approaches to solve and explain recommendations for improving marketing lift. 
• Extract and visualize subtle features from multi-dimensional marketing data 
• Implement new and improve existing analysis algorithms and further develop software for automated generation of reports and analysis 
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure data is acquired, processed, and stored according to appropriate procedures 

• Advanced degree in Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics or a related field with demonstrated academic excellence 
• Academic background in deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning 
• Experience with various modeling techniques (NLP, Timeseries, Classification) 
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Dataproc, Vertex, BigQuery) 
• Experience with Machine Learning Pipelines (Kubeflow, Vertex) 
• Familiarity with Tensorflow 
• 5+ years of programming experience, proficiency in R, Python, or Scala 
• Experience with visualization tools such as Shiny to develop presentations that demonstrate the effectiveness of the models being proposed 
• Strong presentation and communication skills  
• Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fields
