WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Compensation Analyst III role is responsible for ensuring the firm has competitive and cost-effective compensation policies and practices. The scope of this role includes holistic compensation program design (e.g. salary, annual and long-term incentive), implementation, and administration for exempt and non-exempt staff. Incumbent will work under general supervision on projects where analysis of data requires ability to evaluate multiple factors and exercise sound judgement. #LI-TP1  #LI-Remote

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applies a consultative approach to providing Compensation support to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Specialists, and the management teams they support.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.
  • Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment. Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • Prepares special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation, or stock options.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Plans and communicates preferred methods and best practices for hiring, training, compensating, and evaluating employees.
  • Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations.
  • Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other discipline directly related to the position (Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis)
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible human resource compensation experience in salary survey analysis, benchmarking, and job description development and evaluation required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and experience with HRIS systems required.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters and situations
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to compensation and pay equity
