STRATIS + Chirp, a RealPage company, is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Technical Writer III to join their internal teams in the quest for information and documentation excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Bring order and information to a diverse team of developers, technical support teammates, and sales and marketing professionals. Work with our product and project managers to craft training and documentation that quickly and efficiently educates our teams on new features, product changes, and support flows. Much of this work is for internal eyes, but you’ll also be drafting a significant amount of user guide and help site content for our customers and end users.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Document all the things in Confluence. This means processes, features, bugs, you name it
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams to deliver a best-in-class product
  • Align with QA and engineering to ensure that you know what will be released, have those changes documented, and preemptively share them with client-facing teams
  • Work with project managers to draft internal and external release notes.
  • Draft comprehensive client-facing technical user manuals for several software products and some physical devices
  • Assist in drafting and upkeeping our onboarding documentation and training modules
  • Work with external e-learning team to draft learning module storyboards and determine end-user training needs
  • Work with development project management to drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects, and reported issues, updating documentation as needed for seamless user experiences 
  • Present and articulate front end user experience(s) to non-development teams (sales, marketing, customer support, technical operations) – you can talk technical, but reshape that knowledge and spit it back out for non-technical folks

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 3+ years in technical writing experience with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics in simple, clear ways
  • Experience or significant familiarity with knowledgebase organization and administration
  • Comfort level with delivering training synchronously and asynchronously, to a mostly remote team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse group of teams and working styles
  • Proven ability to balance multiple competing projects simultaneously and course correct priorities for urgency, as needed
  • Technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn complex products with hands-on experience 
  • People-driven with deep belief and experience in communicating and delivering knowledge
  • Keen eye for gaps in total understanding with the ability to spearhead initiatives to tackle and fill in those gaps

  • Confluence experience
  • Azure Dev Ops experience
  • Prior e-learning development
  • LMS administration
