ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The primary goals of this position are to deliver an exceptional on-boarding experience for our clients, and to implement Investment Accounting as quickly and accurately as possible. The associated metrics of success for the department include: average time to implement, set-up accuracy, on-time implementation, and most importantly, client satisfaction.

This position serves in a collaborative capacity with clients, working closely with them to develop an implementation schedule and plan that sets everyone up for success. This position also serves in a consultative capacity, collecting all necessary due diligence, and advising on the best approach to implement Investment Accounting. This position drives and manages all implementation-related work for both new and existing clients, through a combination of direct responsibilities and strategic interdepartmental partnerships.

The Implementation Consultant III will apply experience and knowledge to provide training, guidance, and support to Implementation Specialists and Implementation Coordinators. He/She will act as a role model for the department by maintaining a high level of professionalism, answering questions posed by our clients, the Implementation team, and/or other departments, and will utilize his/her skills and talent to forge strong, collaborative partnerships both internally and externally.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensure all new orders for Investement Accounting are scheduled as quickly as possible, and that all scheduled properties are implemented on time each month
  • Manage projects to deadline, working collaboratively with clients and internal departments to accomplish objectives, and communicate status updates effectively to all stakeholders
  • Act as the Implementation liaison to the client and property contacts during the implementation process, and as the client’s partner expert on all aspects of implementing Investment Accounting
  • Communicate consistently in a clear and concise way, and adapt to client-specific needs by providing options/alternative solutions
  • Develop and maintain exceptional knowledge of the company’s products and services
  • Develop and review implementation timeline and project plans with client and track progress clearly and consistently during the course of the process
  • Lead all client implementation planning and update calls and document decisions with meeting notes
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients and senior management
  • Collect all necessary due diligence from the client
  • Develop and document portfolio/property level business rules throughout process
  • Forge strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with new and existing client contacts, as well as internal stakeholders, and Implementation team members
  • Proactively escalate internally and/or within the client organization as necessary when/if a client is at risk of not implementing on time to avoid a possible push
  • Assist with special projects as requested, including custom reports and special data requests and/or explanations
  • Make recommendations on process improvement that will aid the department in meeting its goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • BS in Business Administration or Accounting or related field.
  • 5-7+ years consolidation accounting experience
  • Have strong understanding of accounting and finance and complex ownership structures
  • Professional certification from recognized accounting designation is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, vlookup, macros)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details and a strong understanding of financial reports, statements and projections
  • A strong, open, receptive communication style and collaborative approach to work and problem solving
