What You’ll Do

 

As an Accounting Specialist you will keep accurate records of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensure that invoices are paid where necessary, and that clients pay invoices as required. This position reports to the Director of Operations for the Investment Management business unit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Responsibilities may vary over time and include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the business unit.
  • Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure timely payments and/or negotiate outstanding account balances
  • Prepare credit memos, check requests, and write-offs for approval of credit management.
  • Assisting in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, assisting with audits, resolving discrepancies, and contract support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Required Experience

  • 0-1 year of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Bachelor's degree in either accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records with confidentiality
  • Current familiarity accounting software. NetSuite preferred, but not required
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and virtual setting
  • Can work independently and without supervision when required
