In this role, the Senior Accounting Manager will report directly to the SVP, Corporate Controller and have direct interaction with Product Development management as well as other accounting staff. The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for working closely with the project managers and other management to account for internally developed software (“IDS”) costs and to prepare executive level summaries relating to such development. 


The Senior Accounting Manager will also assist with annual and ad hoc reviews of the Company’s intangible assets and have responsibility for other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller. This individual will play a key role in developing and leading accounting staff and will be a strategic partner for collaboration across the organization. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Lead accounting for capitalization of IDS
  • Analyze technical accounting literature related to capitalization of IDS to support key decisions
  • Work with multiple internal stakeholders to assess and communicate project progression from inception to completion and ensure proper accounting treatment throughout project lifecycle
  • Lead or assist with annual and ad hoc reviews of the Company’s intangible assets
  • Strategically and Proactively work with Controller to provide observations/recommendations on gaining efficiency in operational accounting processes and to implement approved changes
  • Review account balances, transactions, and reconciliations prepared by accounting staff to ensure account analysis is performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proactively support a team by providing leadership and development including focusing on performance management, growth opportunities, and motivational initiatives


  • Minimum of 7 years of GAAP accounting experience required
  • Minimum 2-5 years of accounting and supervisory experience at a Public Accounting Company
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and drive business discussions with influence
  • Deadline and goal oriented
  • Strong business acumen with analytical ability
  • Must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of employees and strong partnering skills
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel
