ABOUT THE TEAM

As the Performance Architect, you are charged with creating the architecture and design for one or more products.  The Solutions Architect is the contributor and executor for the full lifecycle application management and development; however, emphasis will be on product innovation and conceptual design, technical design, code implementation and technical team leadership.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Performance Architect will assist in producing the roadmap for all product technologies. You will take part in the architecture review for the product and will be expected to provide input and feedback including recommendations on how to best implement solutions.

 

This role requires critical judgment, the highest level of initiative, and complex reasoning to solve technical and business issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for coding, analysis, review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis for one or more products.
  • Provide day to day technical team leadership in integration, design, implementation, and maintenance for one or more products.
  • Accountable for best practices for performance tuning, improvement, usability and process automation for one or more products.
  • Influence and execute complex methods and models determined by the Principal and Enterprise Architect.
  • Deliver conceptual, logical, and physical solution specifications.
  • Provide input into annual budget planning for technology migrations and project cost estimation.
  • Research, identify, test, certify and select technology products required for solution delivery.
  • Drive the technical growth of the team.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

What we think it takes to get the job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of hands on development utilizing (technology will depend on product / group) with a minimum of 3 years designing and architecting solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting products that have successfully launched to market with scale.
  • Experience in SaaS based product development, N-tier applications and/ or object-oriented design.
  • Experience or understanding of designing systems in a cloud native environment leveraging microservice architectures.
  • Experience with containerized applications desirable.
  • Desirable experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills – ability to assimilate data from varied sources, apply deductive reasoning and scientific method, make inferences, draw testable conclusions, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to identify and understand relationships / interactions between systems, at multiple levels, from tactical to big picture.
  • Influencing and executing skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert skills in .NET Framework and preferably .Net Core.
  • Experience in multiple languages such as Java, C#, php desired.
  • Strong UI/UX experience in designing components for platform-based systems. Knowledge of web components a plus.
  • Strong understanding of api design using REST principles.
  • Experience with graphQL or gRPC a plus.
  • Understanding of how to monitor distributed systems and identify and resolve performance issues.

• ABC Degree in XYZ, related field or equivalent
