As the Director of Risk Management you will be responsible for maintaining the corporation’s global insurance coverage for all business lines. This position reports to the SVP, Treasurer.



  • Lead insurance renewal process, including exposures, submissions, and coverage analysis.
  • Oversee accurate maintenance and administration of all insurance policy documentation and supporting information for all lines of coverage.
  • Validate accuracy of insurance policies, prepare insurance coverage summaries
  • Oversee audits of insurance programs
  • Create and distribute allocations for all insurance programs. Monitor payment tracking process.
  • Respond to various inquiries from insurers, brokers, and internal customers including review of contract language
  • Provide expertise in policy and coverage interpretation to operating company personnel
  • Manage certificates of insurance / auto ID cards across all operations.
  • Serve as administrator for the internal insurance shared drive, the insurance SharePoint site, and all other insurance information systems.
  • Manage casualty claims (general liability, workers’ compensation, auto liability and ancillary lines) through resolution;
  • Report and assist in the investigation of all other claims against the company in coordination with RealPage legal;
  • Liaise with company personnel and third party vendors to help manage and track claims activity. Develop benchmarking exhibits and reports on US workers’ compensation and other coverages.
  • Create and manage various reports, spreadsheets, and graphics for meetings and presentations.
  • Assist with insurance and risk management due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions
  • Assist and occasionally lead special projects and initiatives related to improving the risk management function and programs.
  • Complete other departmental tasks and projects as needed;
  • Manage Captive insurance company, including reporting, compliance and ongoing claims resolution and actuarial evaluation;
  • Manage Enterprise risk for company, including the implementation of company initiatives to reduce operational and financial related risks;
  • Create and manage safety program to reduce overall liability company wide;
  • Manage companywide Insurance policy governance, including the review and assessment of corporate insurance policies



  • Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Risk management, insurance, or finance degree (with insurance background).
  • 15+ years of related experience in risk management (risk management, commercial insurance, or brokerage) including the management of claims and insurance renewals.
  • Strong organizational, customer service and team skills.
  • Superior problem solving & analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Creative thinking and ability to identify process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to be flexible, manage competing priorities and deadlines in a complex, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills including both experience with RMIS systems and strong Excel/PowerPoint abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Successful candidate will be a self-motivated and results oriented individual, able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
