ABOUT THE TEAM

The Business Analyst participates in most key product planning activities and division management discussions as part of the Consumer Solutions team.  The Business Analyst plays a vital role in the business, product and planning engineering for our spectrum of products.  This work includes assisting with product conceptual design, business planning of product evolution and priorities, business case development, process engineering, project management and data analysis for the spectrum of software products and services we offer and will be building. This position plays an important role in conceptual product development discussions, workflow development, assisting with wire-framing concepts into visual reference webpage’s, drafts documents to communicate development ideas and processes and follows concepts from pure idea to deliverable technology. This position is a key communication and team collaboration role and participates in the entire product development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Actively participate and collaborate in management discussions related to key product development and product evolution
  • Create internal corporate business cases along with others on the management team for new product development and evolution
  • Develop high-quality functional design documents
  • Assist with project management and work with the development team to ensure production of the technology envisioned
  • Gather requirements from both internal and external subject matter experts and product user groups
  • Organize, participate, and conduct internal product demonstrations
  • Manage and track product issues and enhancements using the internal tracking system and departmental procedures
  • Maintain process / project status reporting
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and help identify issues and offer recommendations
  • Manage tasks to meet the assigned project timelines and milestones
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal team members
  • Participate in product testing and certification activities
  • Assist in daily management of support issues escalated to product team
  • Assist with identifying and solving design flaws and issues

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bachelors degree required; equivalent experience may be accepted
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience performing business process analysis and/or project management
  • Analytical thinking and an aptitude for data-driven decision making are necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven technical writing abilities
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be able to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience in SafeAgile methodologies preferred
  • Personnel and/or project management experience highly preferred
  • Experience in API data integrations, including SOAP and REST operations preferred
  • Background in software engineering, mathematics and / or statistics is highly preferred
