ABOUT THE TEAM

The Senior Vice President of Implementation Services has responsibility ensuring an efficient and positive implementation experience for customers at RealPage. In addition, the leader will be responsible for continuous improvement of the customer journey in the onboarding process, partnering with the sales, product, operations, and account management organization to ensure alignment of the implementations team’s approach with the larger organization. This executive will provide the thought leadership, strategic direction and tactical implementation leadership and support for the development and advancement of a lean business system.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

RealPage Implementations includes the following functions and looking for a leader with proven experience across all these disciplines:

  • Consulting – Working closely with sales and our partners, the consulting teams develop the overall solution architecture, operational processes and business model alignment for each client by documenting current state, business and functional requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Technical Implementations – The implementations teams are responsible for SaaS product deployment, data migration and end user configuration based on requirements from sales and consulting teams. This includes initial adoption, rollout and migration engagements specific to each client.
  • Solution Training – The Solution Training Teams continue the client adoption journey through formal and information education offerings including classroom, virtual, webinar and public workshop courses.
  • Operational Reporting – The Implementations teams partner with the business to ensure operational reporting reflects the performance of the implementations teams and its alignment with the broader business objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Vice President of Implementation Services will drive change on the implementation and training teams by streamlining processes, reducing redundant workflows, and improving the customer experience. Opportunities for improvement have been identified, but a dedicated resource capable of driving change and results is needed to see that these opportunities are executed effectively and at an accelerated rate. This role will continue to lead the RealPage effort to unify Implementations and will then lead the unified Implementations organization going forward. 

 

You will accomplish this by identifying opportunities for employee development, engagement and performance optimization, process improvement, automation and cost saving efforts which will include identifying and implementing industry best practices, promoting an adherence to internal controls and policies, streamlining processes for improved efficiencies with a consistent and strong focus on improving the employee and customer’s experience. Your duties will include continued technical assessment of opportunities to improve hardware and software solutions, enhancing IT systems, and resolve technical issues that are impeding the ability to swiftly implement RealPage solutions to customers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

SUCCESS PROFILE:

Leadership / Project Management Skills:

  • Experience with large-scale, multi-product implementations and a proven ability to improve the implementation process by identifying the key elements of the customer journey (data gathering, product integration, client training, etc), streamlining each, and creating a customer journey with minimal frictions points that maximizes the customer experience and allows them to onboard quickly and seamlessly
  • Has effectively managed large implementation teams of 500+ employees, successfully delivering on-time projects, meeting client deadlines and consistently delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple countries through various work models including “Follow the Sun” and capacity-based work shifting – preferred experience working with Philippines and India
  • Experience with coordinating releases / projects across multiple workstreams and departmental teams to deliver a singular client experience
  • Has demonstrated the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Project Management Best Practices and Tools
  • Solid understanding of SaaS release management and client adoption techniques
  • Strong experience in enterprise application architecture, deployment processes and systems lifecycle management – preferred experience with SaaS ERP, CRM and HCM solutions

 

Analytical and Problem-Solving Capabilities:

  • Implement continuous improvements that increase customer satisfaction, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, profitability and overall operating efficiencies
  • Proven experience in a data-driven oriented environment leveraging metrics, KPIs, capacity planning and performance scorecards
  • Proven operational and financial experience across multiple products lines and business units – comfortable working a highly collaborative and matrix environment with shared goals and accountability
  • Minimize operating costs
  • Set and manage budgets to meet or exceed annual operating goals
  • Be the thought leader for technical solutions to improve implementations which includes ensuring hardware, software and technical tools are maintained and relevant for tasks required
  • Coordinate with Product and IT to ensure the implementation technology and platform integration needs for successful implementation are prioritized for delivery
  • Work in partnership with Product and Marketing to ensure go-to-market solutions includes scalable and repeatable implementation solution and technical document for configuration and cross product integration success

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

What we thinks it takes to get the job:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of operational leadership experience
  • Experience managing 500+ person teams across multiple regions
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a high-performance continuous improvement environment through implementation of and expertise with the latest lean management methods
  • Prior experience in software engineering and/or information technology required
  • Proven change management skills for process and technology deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce
  • 3+ years of experience driving requirements for process automation and workflow design
  • Executive-level presentation skills and ability to handle high-level client interactions
  • Proven experience preparing multi-department complex budgets and forecasts; including successfully achieving revenue and expense expectations
  • Experience with consulting, training, and/or implementing Business to Business SaaS products strongly preferred
  • Need a strategic leader who is also a “doer”. Needs to assist the team and be hands on/tactical
  • Driven by high expectations to deliver results and not “activity”
