WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our ideal candidate is a great culture fit and brings an informed, innovative approach to problem-solving. This job operates  independently and is heavy on details, so being self-motivated and having a demonstrated capability to assimilate, organize, and utilize large amounts of data is vital. It involves aggregating specific data and applying it at scale. This data can be very complex and nuanced, so the ideal candidate will be able to communicate it well to co-workers and managers. Proficiency with numbers and attention to detail are critical skillsets for the success of this position. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for leading a high- volume billing team. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan and direct the department. The following functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by an associate assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions:

  • Oversee and streamline billing and invoicing processes
  • Month-end closing of billing group information
  • Resolves invoice disputes
  • Performs monthly resident and property invoicing
  • Forms a solid, cohesive billing team
  • Responsible for meeting billing cycle targets
  • Personnel development; staff meetings
  • Works on special projects as requested by management
  • Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for a billing & collections department
  • Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite (Advanced Excel user required)
  •  Minimum 3 years billing and invoicing   experience
  • Detail oriented, dependable, and available to work additional hours as needed
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong research and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
