WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Senior Manager, Deal Desk & Renewals is a vital part of our Revenue Operations organization and will be the leader of both Deal Desk and Renewal teams.  The Deal Desk team is responsible for analyzing product discounts requested from the Sales organization and works with Senior Leadership and Executives for required approvals or recommendations. This role works cross functionally with Sales, Legal, and Finance to deliver best-in-class service internally and externally with clients. The Renewal team is responsible for maintaining accurate data for client renewals across multiple platforms and understanding/coordinating renewal activity both internally and externally.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an authoritative knowledge source for RealPage’s Deal Desk and Renewal operations
  • Drive best practices to increase sales effectiveness via structured deal reviews and checkpoints, supported by standard business practices and policies
  • Drive process and system improvements to improve upon the scalability of our day-to-day Deal Desk operations
  • Advise on contract negotiations internally, including deal structure and discounting guidance
  • Ensure approvals for non-standard deals have been property documented, escalated to the right approval levels, and resolved within established timelines
  • Manage the key metrics and performance indicators for reporting on discounting and renewal trends across various Sales and Product Divisions
  • Preparation and management of client renewals in close partnership with the Sales Operations department
  • Deal Desk and Renewal reporting, including ad hoc reports as needed or requested
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Client Management, and Contracts on all Deal Desk and Renewal related operational issues
  • Cultivate internal and external relationships to gain new knowledge and competencies
  • Provide technical advice to resolve moderately complex Deal Desk and Renewal issues and discrepancies
  • Provide information and/or clarification on client contract and renewal information to internal resources as requested
  • Support the renewal book of business by providing client renewal data and related reporting for forecasting and client analysis utilizing Excel and Salesforce.com
  • Ensure that clients receive yearly renewal notifications within the period defined in client contracts

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 years of experience in a Renewal Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Finance Operations
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills along with the ability to demonstrate practical judgement in complex situations
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce with experience in utilizing quote-to-cash and renewal functionality strongly preferred
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively partner with colleagues across all departments and levels required
  • Ability to manage, analyze, and track data for a sophisticated and often complex sales and renewal processes
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, achieve tight deadlines, and take initiative on multiple projects
