ABOUT THE TEAM

The RealPage Payroll Department is a small group committed to ensuring that every payroll we process is timely and accurate. We provide world-class customer service and support to all internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Payroll Clerk II will be responsible for the payroll tax functions of RealPage, Inc and each of its subsidiaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing regular tax reconciliations; assisting with setup of newly acquired entities; responding to internal and external customer inquiries via phone calls and/or emails; ensuring employee tax locations are properly set up; and maintaining the integrity of the payroll. This position reports to the Manager, Payroll.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the Payroll and WhTaxPayroll email inboxes for payroll tax related inquiries from internal and external customers, responding to all inquiries timely
  • Perform tax reconciliations each quarter
  • Review each payroll for tax fallouts
  • Work with State & Local jurisdictions and UKG regarding tax issues; including submitting cases through UKG’s Ultimate Community and tracking their resolution
  • Set up accounts with new tax jurisdictions
  • Work with 3rd party unemployment management vendor and UKG to ensure UI rate changes are properly recorded
  • Approve employee address changes submitted through UKGPro
  • Review New Hire addresses and tax setup
  • Add/update tax locations for employees
  • Maintain electronic payroll tax files for tax jurisdictions across 20+ entities
  • Track refund checks received from various tax jurisdictions and route them for processing
  • Assist integration of newly acquired entities in to UKG’s Payment Services
  • Assist with quarterly restricted stock payrolls
  • Assist with processing functions for regular payrolls, as needed
  • Assist in year-end process; year-end tax reconciliations, auditing for missing account numbers, reviewing employees claiming ‘Exempt’ on their W-4, etc
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish departmental projects, as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years office/clerical experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, including effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multitask and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Professional demeanor, dependable, and able to maintain confidential information
  • Flexible and able to successfully adapt to change
  • Flexible to work overtime as required

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 1-2 years payroll experience preferred
  • UKGPro (formerly UltiPro) experience a plus
