We’re looking for a unicorn who is interested in risk, compliance, and finance while also looking to be part of a fast-paced, growing tech company! You would be joining a brand new team that is helping us grow by expanding our product offerings. In this role, you will review new account acquisitions and assess Buildium’s risk through investigation and applicable compliance procedures. You may also be conducting transaction monitoring and reviews of current customer accounts.


  • Review new account acquisitions and apply current compliance procedures
  • Research and apply information during the review process
  • Record findings of each application/account within our systems
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with our customers when needed
  • Support frontline representatives by responding to questions and concerns
  • Make decisions based on department standards concerning transaction behaviors of current accounts
  • Stay abreast of changing compliance restrictions (OFAC, card brands, NACHA, banking partners, etc.)
  • Work to locate risk trends and improve underwriting tactics


  • Passionate about investigating and solving puzzles
  • High level of confidence and demonstrated ability to make sensible judgments
  • Patience and calm under pressure, with the ability to advocate findings in a constructive manner
  • Excellent eye for detail and high level of discretion
  • Ability to be nimble, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while upholding our organizational values and standards
  • Able to understand identification and business-related documents
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, PCI, OFAC, MC/Visa compliance regulations and requirements (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a credit, fraud, or investigative role (desirable)
