We are in search of an exceptional Cloud Engineer who can integrate seamlessly within a hypergrowth company to help us navigate our cloud and computing needs. Not only are you experienced in AWS / Cloud based technology, but also exhibit superior Linux experience, and the ability to write automation scripts. Be a self-starter, and utilize direction when handling multi-faceted projects. Great interpersonal, team playing, customer service oriented and “can do” attitude is an absolute must.

• Working in tandem with our engineering teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
• Collaborate with Software Development teams, Product Managers, and Business Owners to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems.
• Monitor cloud-based systems and components for availability, performance, reliability, security, efficiency, Cost, and ability to meet non-functional requirements and service level agreements.
• Support security audits, accreditation and certification processes, and obtaining approval to operate for cloud-based system architectures.
• Maintain documents and diagram cloud solutions, capturing requirements to support various platforms and systems.
• Define and establish secure cloud configurations, including integration with on-premise SIEM.
• Develop solutions integrating AWS clouds with services hosted on-premise and in other cloud platforms.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
• Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.)
• 8+ years’ experience in IT industry
• 3+ years’ experience in AWS cloud
• Expertise in multiple DevOps and open source tool sets such as: Chef, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub.
• 3 years’ Experience with Python, Bash or automation languages.
• Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
